The original pastel drawing was inspired by my love for the music of French composer Erik Satie. There are no existing photographs of Satie playing the piano and so I decided to create one. The original drawing is in the collection of the Vice Chancellor of Brighton University and has been published as a postcard and as an edition of stamps in Paris in 2008.
